India’s construction equipment sector is poised for a return to double-digit growth in FY26, bolstered by accelerating infrastructure development, improving project execution, and robust export performance. After a modest 3% expansion in FY25, the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers' Association (ICEMA) projects at least 10% growth for the current fiscal year, projecting the industry’s value to exceed USD 11 billion (approximately Rs. 91,000 crore).

Ceigall India Charts Revival Strategy with C&C Construction Merger

In a strategic move aimed at bolstering operational scale and rejuvenating a distressed asset, Ceigall India has announced the merger of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Ceigall Infra Projects, with the publicly listed C&C Construction. The transaction, pending approval from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), is structured to grant Ceigall India a controlling stake of up to 95% in the merged entity. Post-merger, the company plans to dilute this holding to 75% to comply with Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) norms.
