Coal India Ltd (CIL), the country’s largest coal producer and a state-owned Maharatna enterprise, has entered into a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corporation Ltd (IPRCL) to advance its rail infrastructure capabilities. The agreement, though non-binding, signals a concerted effort to streamline coal evacuation and improve logistics efficiency across CIL and its subsidiaries.
