FY25: A Milestone Year for LT Foods
The company’s financial year ended with a net profit of Rs. 611.80 crore, up 2.37% from Rs. 597.59 crore the previous year. Total income for FY25 surged to Rs. 8,769.93 crore, crossing the coveted USD 1 billion revenue threshold—an achievement hailed by management as a landmark moment in the company’s journey.
This milestone reflects not only scale but operational robustness across both domestic and international markets. LT Foods has demonstrated consistent resilience despite macroeconomic fluctuations and changing consumer preferences, thanks to its diversified product lines and strong brand equity.
Growth Drivers: Brand Investment and Market Penetration
A critical component of the company’s growth was its flagship basmati and specialty rice business, which posted a 10% year-on-year increase. This performance was attributed to increased investments in brand building and consumer outreach, reinforcing LT Foods’ leading position in the premium rice segment.
The organic food and ingredients division was another standout performer, growing by 29% in FY25. This segment benefitted from rising global demand for healthy, sustainable food products, a trend that LT Foods has been strategically aligned with over recent years.
International operations, particularly in North America, the Middle East, and Europe, also recorded robust growth. The company’s strong distribution networks and localized marketing strategies have played a key role in cementing its global footprint.
CEO's Perspective and Dividend Declaration
Ashwani Arora, Managing Director and CEO of LT Foods, described FY25 as a “landmark year” for the organization. “Crossing the USD 1 billion revenue milestone is a testament to our resilient business model, commitment to quality, and deep understanding of evolving consumer needs,” Arora said in the earnings release.
In recognition of its strong performance, the board of directors declared a final dividend of Re 1 per equity share of face value Re 1 each for FY25, reinforcing the company’s intent to deliver shareholder value alongside sustainable growth.
Market Reaction and Future Outlook
Despite the encouraging financials, LT Foods’ shares closed at Rs. 363.15 on the BSE, down 1.55% from the previous day’s close. Market participants appeared to be factoring in profit-booking activity or broader market volatility.
Looking ahead, LT Foods appears well-positioned to continue capitalizing on global food consumption trends, particularly the growing preference for high-quality, health-conscious, and ethically sourced food products. With sustained investments in branding, innovation, and operational scalability, the company is expected to maintain its growth trajectory and reinforce its leadership in the global packaged food segment.
