RattanIndia Power Posts Rs. 13.41 Crore Q1 Loss Amid Operational Challenges

RattanIndia Power Ltd. reported a consolidated net loss of Rs. 13.41 crore for the first quarter of FY25, reflecting persistent headwinds in the power sector and internal operational constraints. While revenue from operations showed a marginal improvement, rising input costs and limited generation efficiency weighed heavily on the company’s bottom line. The quarterly results underscore the broader issues faced by thermal power producers in India, including volatile coal prices, plant load factor fluctuations, and regulatory bottlenecks.

RattanIndia Power Sees Sharp Decline in Profits, But Maintains Solid Income in Q4

RattanIndia Power’s financial results for the fourth quarter of FY24 reveal a stark contrast between its net profit figures from the previous year. A sharp decline to Rs 125.94 crore in net profit, from Rs 10,665.75 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, is largely attributed to a high base effect driven by an exceptional gain in FY24. However, the company's total income registered modest growth, rising to Rs 1,028.61 crore.
