In a major step toward revitalizing northwestern India’s agrarian infrastructure, Rajasthan and Punjab have jointly advanced the Rs. 647.62 crore Firozpur Feeder Reconstruction Project. The initiative aims to enhance the Gang Canal irrigation network that serves over 3.14 lakh hectares in Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh districts. The project, approved by the Central Water Commission, will expand the feeder’s capacity and reduce water loss to Pakistan.
