Gensol Engineering, once considered a rising force in India's renewable energy landscape, now finds itself at the center of a regulatory and financial crisis. The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has issued a notice to the company in response to an insolvency petition filed by the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), a financial creditor claiming a default of Rs. 510 crore. The proceedings follow a damning interim order from SEBI, which alleged fund diversion and governance failures, prompting the abrupt resignation of the company’s top leadership.
