A shocking murder investigation has unfolded in Lucknow after police recovered the dismembered remains of a local businessman concealed inside a blue drum. Authorities have arrested the victim’s 21-year-old son in connection with the crime. The victim, a pharmaceutical and liquor trader, was allegedly killed and dismembered, with key body parts still missing. Investigators say the accused attempted to conceal evidence and had allegedly arranged materials to dispose of the remains.

The Khadi Mahotsav held in Lucknow recorded a remarkable 42% increase in sales compared to the previous edition, signaling rising consumer enthusiasm for sustainable and indigenous products. In a move aligned with India's push toward sustainable mobility, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated two cutting-edge vehicle scrapping facilities by Tata Motors in Lucknow and Raipur. Designed under the “Recycle with Respect” (Re.Wi.Re) initiative, these Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities (RVSFs) can collectively dismantle up to 40,000 end-of-life vehicles per year. The facilities cater to passenger, commercial, and two- and three-wheelers of all brands.
