The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has rolled out a new initiative aimed at easing the travel experience for private vehicle owners. The authority has introduced an annual FASTag pass, allowing motorists to pay a one-time fee for unlimited toll usage within a designated period. This move is expected to significantly reduce cash transactions at toll plazas, ensure smoother traffic flow, and encourage greater adoption of digital payment mechanisms on national highways.
