Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has initiated engine production at its newly acquired Talegaon facility in Maharashtra, marking a significant step in its expansion strategy in India. Production began on June 16, 2025, and the company is expected to follow up with vehicle assembly at a later date. With an annual installed capacity of 1.3 lakh units, the plant represents a key investment in HMIL’s localized manufacturing ecosystem.
