The government has constituted a dedicated banking sector panel to align financial policy and credit delivery with the long-term vision of “Viksit Bharat,” Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said. The initiative aims to strengthen the role of banks in supporting inclusive growth, infrastructure development, and innovation-driven enterprises. By reviewing existing frameworks and recommending targeted reforms, the panel is expected to enhance efficiency, resilience, and accessibility within the financial system.
