In a significant boost to India’s defence manufacturing sector, Bengaluru-headquartered Axiscades announced a strategic agreement with European missile systems giant MBDA to set up a cutting-edge defence facility in Karnataka. The collaboration, formalized through Axiscades’ wholly owned subsidiary, Axiscades Aerospace and Technologies, will see the creation of a specialized unit at the Aerospace Park near Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru. The facility is set to house test laboratories, infrastructure for missile launchers, and sophisticated systems engineering capabilities. The agreement was signed during the Paris Air Show 2025, highlighting India’s growing prominence in the global defence ecosystem.

The partnership between Axiscades and MBDA represents a pivotal moment in India’s journey toward self-reliance in defence production. The new facility, planned at Bengaluru’s Aerospace Park, will provide infrastructure essential for supporting MBDA’s advanced missile systems.
